Dr Laura Lason
Dr Lason is a 1991 graduate of Oklahoma State University College Of Veterinary Medicine. She is also a 1986 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelors in Zoology. Raised in Oklahoma, she attributed much of her love of nature and animals to her mother, who was an avid bird watcher, and amature naturalist. She gives credit for her volunteer nature to her father who is a Boy Scout Volunteer to this day. Camp Hale in southern Oklahoma is one of his special interests.
She & Scott have 3 active children, and spend much time volunteeering their time to children. Boy Scouts, Brownies, Church, Sports, and School/PTA activities occupy many afternoons and weekends. Dr. Laura feels it is very important to instill a love & respect of animals, science and nature in children from a young age.
Dr. Laura is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and has licenses in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. When she and her husband lived in Kansas City, she was very active in the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association, even being elected President.
Her special interests include puppy training, geriatrics, and dermatology. She is a firm believer that the more time spent training the new pet, the better relationship you will have over the lifetime of the puppy/kitten. When pets are a part of the family, everyone benefits.
